CCS in Bergen
While we wait for the 2026 National Budget to be presented—hopefully with a dedicated allocation for the realization of CO₂ management from waste incineration and industries that cannot reduce their emissions without carbon capture and storage—we continue to share knowledge with each other and with others, and to acquire new knowledge!
We do this because we want to contribute in any way we can to slowing down climate change and helping the world reach the goals of the Paris Agreement, which aim to limit global warming to well below 2°C compared to pre-industrial levels.
When I say WE, I mean KAN – Climate Cure for Waste Incineration, where nine of Norway’s largest waste incineration plants are working together!
The photos are from Northern Lights JV’s receiving facility in Øygarden and from BIR’s waste incineration plant in Bergen, where KAN has held a gathering this week.
