CCUS Østfold

I started building my CCUS expertise in the south east of Norway in Østfold back in 2018. Through my role as manager for The Norwegian Centre of Circular Economy I assisted Borg CO2 as project manager in their Feasibility study. I learnt a lot and got to know so many knowledgable people within the industry. This year, 7 years later, I’ve had an opportunity to assist CCUS Norway in a project where we have looked into what the region needs in order to realize the CCUS-cluster in the region. The potential is there, however it requires a framework and incentives - and cooperation between the industry and the local and regional municipalities.

There is a need to look at the local energy systems and agree on a common vision on how to optimize the system in order for all to succeed today and in the future.
